Gordon Deal is the host of The Wall Street Journal This Morning, every weekday morning at 5am on News-Talk 850 WFTL. Gordon's understanding of what listeners need to know and the questions they'd like answered are a perfect match for the show. He was named host of the program in November 2005.

Gordon's solid radio background of writing and on-air work includes time on two of New York City’s all-news stations, WCBS-AM and WINS-AM. He also served as the New York City bureau chief for Metro Networks where his reports aired live on WOR-AM and WABC-AM.

Gordon actually began his career in radio as a play-by-play sports announcer in 1986 at Rutgers University, his alma mater. He continues his love of sports broadcasting by serving as a public address announcer at Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks.

When he’s not in the radio studios of the Wall Street Journal, he’s at home with his wife & kids in New Jersey, or he could be off doing one of his hobbies; fishing, whitewater rafting, and coaching soccer.
